Due to the time difference between the Midwest and the West Coast, what was 730 am to our boy was 530 am to the West Coast. We were up early and ready for action. On Saturday morning we decided to rent a backpack carrier and do some hiking. Jonathan is small for his age, but when Jamie put him on his back in this carrier he didn't think Jonathan felt all that small. None the less, the hiking was wonderful. We ended up on a steeper trail than we intended, but ended up treking down to the water's edge on a secluded beach. BEAUTIFUL and peaceful. How perfect!! Jonathan really liked the carrier... he could see quite a bit since he was at Jamie's head level.

Our last excursion of the vacation was a boat ride across Lake Tahoe in a large paddleboat cruiser. There was a very cool rock fort on top of the only island on the lake that I would like to hike to on another vacation when I am not over seven months pregnant. Guess that is all the more reason to return to this wonderful place. This was our seat on the cruiser... it gave us great views of the scenery!

We are now back to normal here... looking forward to a visit from Jamie's parents this weekend and a date for our upcoming seventh anniversary. Seven years!!! How great they have been.

Sarah Guild, you do not look 7 months pregnant! What a beautiful family you have. I can't wait to meet the newest member.
