The Rest

I realized after I posted the last thing about the Turkey Trot that I would never catch up if I tried to post about each thing I've missed in an individual post.  Here's the recap, as recorded by my phone camera:

What an introvert, homebody chooses to do on her birthday: order carryout Asian food, sit by the Christmas tree with her little family and quiet Christmas music playing.
We were playing a game involving a tent, hunting animals and cooking them over an "open fire"
Caleb's school birthday celebration

 Just because she's cute
The girl cousins at the Guild extended family Christmas

Caleb's Christmas program.  That boy has the sweetest singing voice.  I could listen to him sing "O Baby Jesus" all day.

We're the outdoorsy type. Whatever it takes to be out there.

My little Hawkeyes.  It's a good year to be a Hawkeye basketball fan.

Snow that I found in the garage refrigerator.  It was being saved for summer.

Eliana isn't sure that the "benefit" of being able to walk to and from school is such a benefit after this COLD winter.

Big C's soccer group.

Turkey Trot

I am posting pictures about Thanksgiving.  Yes.  Because I just downloaded them from my phone.  The boys ran the Turkey Trot again this year.  I sat out with Eliana and worked hard to take photos, keep track of everyone, and keep Eliana warm.  The boys had a whee of a time and are already talking about running the longer race next year.

A Little Problem

Caleb (at bedtime): I am having a little problem with my nostril and I'm going to need a knife.

Me: A knife??

Caleb: Yes, there is a gigantic booger up there and I need a knife to stick up there and get it out.

Never a dull moment.
