The note taking phase was characterized by the non-stop presence of his notebook and his markers for taking notes at various locations. He lost one of his markers out of his pocket one evening and he was in tears about not being able to take very good notes in his "book".
The next phase was the "wallet" phase which meant he clipped the "wallet" pictured below to his belt loops and carried pens, money, rocks and toy cars all over this town.
Caleb got ahold of the book and took a few notes of his own.
