We celebrated Jesus' birthday with just our family on the Saturday before Christmas so that we could just enjoy ourselves without having to divide our time between that and seeing our families. We made pancakes and eggs for breakfast (one of Jonathan's favorites) and opened our gifts in the morning. In the afternoon/evening we ordered take-out Chinese and made birthday cupcakes for Jesus.
Jonathan received a new train table and trains for Christmas and he loved them. He played with them all day on Saturday, Sunday and Monday before we left town. Guess it was an appropriate gift for the little guy!
