In an attempt to explain why Grampie wouldn't be available for the usual myriad of play activities, I described his situation as having a "big owie". Yes, it is big. And, he would tell you that it is an "owie". Caleb was enthralled with this phrase. He kept talking about Grampie's big owie and all of the other people there who had big owies, too. But, he also made it clear to me that Grampie's owie was getting better.
And, better it is. We recovered from our bout with illness and headed to Iowa to visit Grampie in the hospital. He is recovering well, and will likely get to go home in a few days. We enjoyed a bit of time with Jamie's family as they live near the hospital and then headed back home.
Home to the chaos of moving. Friday the movers come. For the last time in a long while.
