The end of our vacation was spent with Jamie's family in Des Moines. He came and joined us for three of the four days that we were there. Our first day in Des Moines was spent at the Iowa State Fair. I had never attended before, so the experience was new for both Jonathan and I.

The boy cousins had a birthday party to celebrate all of their birthdays at once. They went to the science center and had a fabulous time playing on all of the exhibits!

We also spent a day at a lake home in the southern part of the state... the kids had a blast there, and it was great to hang out with everyone without having to leave for Jonathan's nap, etc.
Our vacation was wonderful, but home looked very sweet after almost three weeks of being gone! That is part of the beauty of vacations - they make you appreciate home that much more.
