Hit the Ball... Drag the Bag

My dad used to say, "that's the name of the game: hit the ball, drag the bag."  For mother's day I requested a family bike ride and golf.  The boys love their little bags, and seriously, isn't it just cuteness to see the little shoulder straps on them?

Happy Mothers' Day to me: they like golfing and biking, too.

Friends

Jonathan was invited to a friend's birthday party... pirate fun was had by all!

Our school had a road race and we met several friends there to run in the rainy, COLD race.  Another mother and I helped with the course directing and while I was course directing... our boys got spray painted hair :+)

Cousins.  All kinds of fun.

Our new pet, Lizzie

I'm not so much of an animal lover, but the little furry creatures are growing on me.  It has been mentioned before that Jonathan loves animals.  Caleb likes them, too.  They've been hoping and hoping for a pet, so we got a guinea pig.  She's actually quite a gem of a pet.  She likes to be held, she doesn't bite, she resides in her cage unless being held and she poops inside the cage.  An all around gem of a pet.

 Two very happy little boys

Photo Dump

It snowed at the end of April.  That's some craziness for here.  The only fun we had with the last snowfall was when it was melting... see the attempt at dam construction below.

My ideas

I get these ideas... then they get a little bigger... and a little bigger.  And, God bless the man I married: he likes my ideas and goes with them and moves things and sets things up.  He's basically awesome.  I wanted to do an Easter Egg Hunt for our neighbors, then I decided it would be fun to invite our small group since they all live quite close to us, then I wanted to have brunch... The end result was a fantastic (and quite chaotic) time with lots of neighbors and lots of kids and lots of food.

And, here we are: actually all smiling, ready to leave for Easter church service.  It is nothing short of a miracle that the precariously perched camera didn't crash to the ground AND that I managed to get us all in the shot with the timer.

Grammie and Grampie's Egg Hunt

My mother and father brought some fun stuff for an egg hunt for their four grandsons when they came a couple of weeks ago.  What fun!

Spring Break {Part Two}

Our beloved cousins came for a visit during part of Spring Break.  They played non-stop with the two littles who live here, and the boys couldn't have been more delighted.  We played with Flubber, made foil boats, played at the science center, and made crafts at a local free crafting place.  Awesomeness.

Thanks Sofie, Drew and Amy for an awesome time!
